Czech Republic

I'll add pictures later, but here's how it went down:

In Prague, we had a great dinner with A-100 friends Nick and Louise. They're heading to Santiago for their next tour, but first they'll be at FSI for language training during the same period that we are! I'm looking forward to seeing several of the gang during those months.

Of course, we saw the highlights during our two days in the capitol: Prague Castle, the national gallery of modern art, the National Museum, Tyn Church and the astronomical clock at the Old Town Square, the Charles Bridge, the Infant of Prague.

Then we took a bus to Český Krumlov, an incredibly beautiful medieval town which has been a popular tourist destination for over a hundred years, with the Vltava River winding around the old town. We stayed at a great little pension, wandered the narrow cobblestone streets, toured yet another castle and cathedral, and took some great pictures. Unfortunately, because it was the off season a lot of restaurants and things were closed. On the other hand, it was never crowded, and we got to see some snow, which was just beautiful.
